     Benjamin Bell b. 1765 volunteered for a scouting expedition against the Tories
with Capt. Starling Turner down the country (SC) at a place said to be Orange-
burg. Capt. Turner and the entire command was surrounded and butchered by
Bloody Bill Cunninghan.

dence of her son, Isaac Edwards, Mrs. Rebecca Edwards, in the 76 year of her
age. She had been a member of the Baptist Church for many years. She left
